Life Doesn't Frighten Me at All

In collaboration with the Red Earth Theatre company, a series of shadow puppetry performances based on Maya Angelou's poem "Life doesn't frighten me at all". The performances were based on different sections of the poem.

As Red Earth Theatre Company is a company that the majority of their performances are catered towards deaf/Deaf families, the performances all incorperated captions into the performance, either adding them later or during the performance.

Co-creators on this project was Lucinda Smith, Ivy Richards, Marta Stitaz and Leaf Strange.

"Tough guys fight
All alone at night
Life doesn't frighten me at all.

Panthers in the park
Strangers in the dark
No, they don't frighten me at all.

That new classroom where
Boys all pull my hair
(Kissy little girls
With their hair in curls)
They don't frighten me at all."
